I don't know where to put this, for that I apologize, but I'm having a problem with these servers. I don't know if anyone else is, but it might be of intrest to someone. I can't get to the AF homepage. I get that crappy "page cannot be displayed" message. I can't get there from school either. It's been like this for a few days, but I can get into the forums if I follow a link from my email. Any ideas?
Jay!

I am having this problem too. DNS Records should update fairly quickly. I would estimate a week at max. Its already been resolved at my work, but not at home yet (Crappy ISP at home). Bookmark the IP that Jay posted for now.

Technically it's a problem with your ISP. :)

my addition to the thread. I've gotten the busy server error twice since the new server has landed. Both were on the same day a few days ago. Will this be something I should expect from time to time?

Hi Kris,
Well for me it takes so much mucking about to even make a simple post. I have to copy and paste the entire process. I have emailed Igor some findings that my isp found by my being very persistant. It may appear or at least it appears to be the name servers and how they were either set up or registered or something like that of AF. It is way over the top technical, and so far beyond what I understand though a tech dude will understand it.
I am hoping I was able to get the info to igor this time. I have now been able to send him a pm also incase he has not gotten it. The emails have not come back so I hope I got it right.
Either way fellow AF'ers people are on the case I am so positive it will be resolved soon. Igor and the AF staff have spent far too much love and time in the forums not to have them running perfectly. :)

1- It was either while they were making some adjustments to the current server. (which this issue was somewhat posted in another threasd)
2- You have that page cached on your computer.

I'm not sure I understand whats going on.
Alos, you can try this, if you feel comfortable with it. Add this server IP address to "hosts" file.
~Microsoft Windows OS user
*NT/2000/XP
OS-drive:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
*98/ME
OS-drive:\WINDOWS\hosts (or hosts.sam)
-add like this
"139.81.142.25 www.automotiveforums.com"
this would be the solution of Red X problem, and allow you to get here by typing the url. But if AF's server changes IP address again, you have to change this.
