Damn! I been hauling 10 foot 2x4's and sheets of plywood in my X, and thought this post was about installing hardwood floor and rails and anchor points in an X...Trashing the rear seats, lowering the floor, all that good stuff... :sly:
I originally bought the X because they don't make dedicated dog-haulers anymore (station wagons w/lowering tailgate window), and the X was the best of the SUVs I looked at...(The dogs love all the chewable accessories)...But I/we miss the electric tailgate window...
Oh well, I'll wait until the salt rots out the rocker panels then convert it to a pickup... :rolleyes:

I still like the idea of a power tailgate window. I was sort of hoping someone would make a plexiglas insert for the rear hatch that had a removable panel in it.
But I see a commercial for the new GMC Envoy on TV with a two-way tailgate which seems to have a power window. I may take the X down there and look...
