What did you use to paint that? I thought that the side door panels couldn't really be painted.

When you paint it body colored like 1990Civic it looks pretty good. But when people paint the inside random colors that don't match anything else it looks like ass.

considering my car is gonna be painted almost the same color blue, it should go together pretty well.....

take all the screws out and there are clips up by the window if i remember correctly

Yeah, that whole panel has to come out, not just the part he painted red. There's 3 screws I think, and also the 3 bolts for the speaker mounts have to be removed. Then open your side window above the panel, and pull up the weather stripping, and then you pull the top edge towards the inside of the car. The clips shouldn't break at all...

FYI: You have to remove your rear seats before removing this panel.

Hey Jeff, what's the story with your paint job?

Last I heard, you were thinking about scrapping the orange sherbert idea, and either re-painting your interior or going back to stock on the interior... I still think your car would look badass with the orange cream and white scheme...

Well i'm pretty sure i'm sticking with the orange idea :)
I'm thinking of having my interior re-done but this time in white vinyle.
My paint is holding up perfect, it's just the fact it is hard as hell to keep clean. where as a white vinyle would be alot easier. So plan on seeing that in the future along with the seats in white/orange vinyle.

on the 27, 28, & 29th of this month my car is going into the shop.
I'm haveing my entire hatch area formed in fiberglass with my 2 10" JL subs and the JL amp. show quality!!!! I'll be posting lots of pics durring those 3 days :)

how much are you paying for that? I went to a shop and asked them to do something similar, and they wanted 2 bills for it ($2000). I was like fuck that, for 500 I can buy all the tools and materials I need and do it myself!

So far I've spent $400 and with a little practice, I could totally do it all... show quality. All I've built so far is my sub pod (which isn't done yet) but I've practiced on alot of scrap material, and once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. I'm just waiting for some warmer weather so I can finish my pod up...

i was just going to ask you about that pod the other day, i cant wait to see the finished product

Thats what my job would cost. maybe a bit less. But i work at a place that does custom work (A&B Sound) so i guess you could say i'm getting hoooked up hella cheap :D
