What's the one car you would love to have a model of, but it never got made?

I'll tell you mine later, but I will point out a really popular and really good car that slipped through the cracks: the Mitsubishi Eclipse. (Well, maybe not the 3rd gen. ) I guess it got overshadowed by the Lancer in its home market... :(

What's yours?

Sheesh, that 512TR was a disaster :(

At least the wheels and tires still look good :D

They do do them in 1/43 but they are very hard to get. Most places i have been to are sold out.

I mean a kit, a real model, not one of those mass produced things!!!:D

That lacks the finese of a proper 1/43rd model from say Racing 43 or Starter!

I would like the Shelby mustang from the Movie "Gone In 60 Seconds".

Primera Man: Here go some facts and hopefully some insight into the GT350.

GT350 (http://mustangs.harmonic.org/6466/gw65.html)
Another one (http://www.thecarsource.com/shelby/1966/1966shelbycontents.html)

Heep

The GT350 was just the model name of that particular Mustang modified by Carroll Shelby. So that car isn't a "Ford Mustang" it's technically a "Shelby GT350". The GT500 came later, it was the even higher spec model.

I use imagestation as my host. I have tons of animated pics that I like to use and get them from various sites on the net. I don't have any particular site. Basically I just do a search for sites with animated gifs, go through them from top to bottom. Save them on my hard drive and then upload them to IS. I have right now, 3 albums. Two with pics and one with avatars.

I can actually get these cars, but i have to wait until my hobby store guy gets his new tamiya catalog: Acura/Honda NSX. Subaru WRX STi, Ferrari F50, Ferrari 360, Nissan Skyline R32 GTR, and Nissan Skyline R33 GTR. when i order these i should be a happy man for quite a while...

Jay!
10-04-2001, 07:54 PM
Get the Honda NSX (24100). You can make all three versions from that kit. :D And the box art is better. ;)

Jay!

I know that code off the top of my head because it's #100. Tamiya numbers thier kits in order of release. All the 1/24 scale kits are 24xxx. The R32 Skyline is 24090, I think, not positive. Go to HLJ and find the kits you want. the HLJ item number will be "TAM" then the Tamiya number... i.e. the NSX is TAM24100.

S Brake
10-04-2001, 08:06 PM
so if i just order it from him, i would five him the number 24100? just drop the TAM right????

They come with the bodies pre-painted, but the rest is plastic kit. I heard a *rumor* that they're trying to get permission to do an Eleanor... Keep your fingers crossed... :D

They used to have Eleanor listed on the site a few months ago. But now I can't seem to find it. I hope they still plan on making it.

It says that Fujimi made a 355 street version and a 355 Challenge Cup Berlinetta. Unfortunately, I can't open Fujimi's listing to find kit numbers or anything. :( I'll try again later...

I don't think you can get them now as kits such as that made in short batches.
Nice though, they were in Works Rally colours!
Price was about £25 for the kit! Shame I never bought one!
