Ive been searching around the net and cant find many companies that would make a custome intake pipe for a P11. Does anyone know how if I were to do it myself? please list the materials, sizes, quantity and whatever you need to make the thing. Thanks

why not just get the Hotshot for the P11? it comes with the complete piping, couplers, air filter and everything else needed.

I would get the HS intake but I keep hearing that you have to get a smaller battery. Than others tell me that there is a way to custom fit it. Whats the dealio?
Here is info straight from HS website:

I hear Optima batteries are pretty good.
No idea though.. can anyone second this opinion?

Ive just fitted me a HS CAI and i can confirm, that you dont need a smaller battery. The only thing you need to do is to enlarge the hole next to the battery where the resonance box pipe comes thru. Also, the mandrel pipe sits quite nicely just below the coolant bottle. If my digi cam was working, i would of taken some nice closeups to show you. Theres absolutely no need to worry, it'll go straight in.

thats 215 bucks, thats a lot. If I can get a filter, which I can get for below 100 bucks, and a custom pipe it would all come out to less than 100 probably. I dunno, just dont have 215 to put on that

This is the setup i have, its the same as boogies shown here below. NOTE: that he and i both have fitted an AEM BPV, which will make a difference to the overall length of the piping. Just have a look at it and see what you need.

Er.....
How did u attach the AEM bypass on the HS CAI exactly?
Any idea if a AEM bypass will be able to be attached to a Place Racing CAI ? (3 inch opening... or so)

The AEM BPV i got was approx 3" diameter, so i shouldnt see why it wouldnt fit. Its designed to clamp over piping, but if youre careful enough, you can actually clamp silicone couplings to it firmly, as i have done, when i had to join the flange plate from the MAF sensor to it.
