first off the cost varies depending on model of the car its going into.

im dropping the b16A1 (JDM CRX SIR) into my crx DX, but if you have an SI or HF it'll cost a lil less.

but my swap so far is costing me this,

$1500 for Engine, Tranny, ECU, Wire Harness, Shift Linkage, Axles
$250 For New Motor Mounts
$100 For new belts, hoses, plugs, wires, dizzy cap and rotor
and prolly another $100 for water pump, and various gaskets and stuff, which you may or may not need, but im changing the headers and intake manifold and stuff so i need to replace this.

so for me this swap is costing around $2000, but im doing all the work myself, if you bring it somewhere expect to be charged at least another $500-$1000 to put it in.

Question on the swap. We had a 91 civic come into the shop that had a b16 transplant but i don't think the mounts were right. Both inboard cv boots had busted. The axels were at an angle to the engine is this normal

Engine
/ \ Sorry weak picture of what it looked like.

Sounds like a custom cut and weld job to me. If not done right, the problems will never end.

the axles should sit straight, usually when a shop tries to just modify stock mounts it causes those axles to bend and quickly fail, but if have a kit from Hasport or Place, the axles would be -- not /\
