carbonfiber intake

anyone heard of or seen a carbon fiber intake for a 88-91 hatch?

probally not just wondering and if they do exist they are probally expansive

i dunno. it was a birthday present :) i do know it's made by OBX. as far as i know they are the only ones who make the tube style in real carbon fiber

kinda a waste of money i think, what did it save ya in weight, an ounce?

id rather spend less money on CF and got a CAI.

it has nothing to do with weight. i hadn't even considered that. he got it for me because i'm addicted to carbon fiber (anything) and we had never seen one in a 4G before

Does Carbon Fiber absorb less heat by any chance? That would be a good thing for an intake.

if ANYBODY finds out where to snag one post it, I'll buy it even before I buy my MPFI

any aftermarket intake for the crx will fit the b16.

i have an aem piece and i just removeed the end silicone thingy and it fit over the manifold just fine.

it says $249 :eek2: i highly doubt he paid that much for mine. if he did he'd be giving me shit about an overpriced form over function part. when you decide to get one let me know and i'll see if i can get it any cheaper for ya
