i'm bored!!! so jus a question to you guys...

do you have some rare kits in your stash??? if so; what are they???

Tamiya s600 v12 AMG Mercedes Benz Coupe

I have Tamiya's 1/12 Ferrari 641, the one with the clear body parts and red parts,it also has the Marlboro decals. This kit was never in the Catalog as far as I can tell. I have a 1/43 Rosso of the same car with photo etch and metal parts. I have the Fujimi 1/16 F40LM. An Entex 1/20
Lancia Stratos. Union 1/20 scale Martini Porsche Turbo Carrera RSR(silver racecar with Martini markings) to name a few.

I've got a 1/12 Rosso NSX i brought recently from Huudo. I also have a 1/24 Revell Porsche 914 in the attic, dunno how rare that is?

My Hasegawa 348ts is becoming hard to find. I picked up Tamiya's FC and 180SX kits recently, too. They may not be rare, per se, but I know they're not in current production...

a Tamiya Renault R5 road car, the model is from 1986 I think. It's one of the earliest Tamiya kits I've seen, #24024 I think

Also, I just found stashed away in my basement a Revell 512TR I started when I was little, and is now about 3% done, poorly executed :D Probly still salvagable though :D

I have just one rare kit......Its the Red Alert Chevelle.....I paid 10 bucks for a big box of parts and there it was in a bag...I almost wet my pants :bloated:

I went into a shop near me just last week that had about 4 or 5 of them, the haven't sold them for years.

I just bought the 600SEL two weeks ago at a local hobby shop in Tokyo. It was stored high up in the shelf, and no one didn't notice, but me. The store owner asked me if I'd build it, and I said, "I only need the engine." He said, "What a shame."
I also bought the Legacy RS on auction last week.

The rare kits I have are all Fujimi Ferraris, such as F355GTB and Challenge, Gunze's Cobra Daytona Coupe, 250GTO w/engine, 250SWB, and Jag E-Type w/engine.

I bought a Mazda 787B a while back, it's OOP. It was rereleased three years ago, but it's not a permanent part of Tamiya's lineup. :) I also have Tamiya's Mercedes CLK-GTR Original-Teile version (not the CLK-DTM) that is also OOP, it's just a decal variation of their Warsteiner one (the Sportswear is becoming hard to find as well, but the Original-Teile is the rarest)

Also have Tamiya 180SX and Silvia, like jay said they are OOP, the Fujimi Silvia with 345 Tuning bodykit in the gallery. My hobby shop stocks a ton of semi-rare kits, like Fujimi 80's kits, and a bunch of 1/16 Italeri, reboxed Fujimi Testors, and Fujimi Ferraris. They also have a sealed Rosso NSX 1/12 which I've been keeping an eye on.

dont know if its rare but i've never seen it elsewhere... a fujimi calsonic skyline R32. everything else i own is readily available from the internet. i also have a mazda 787B with S27 PE parts which are no longer available as far as i know... thinking of selling the PE parts so i can get the scalemotorsport ones.

This kit was hard to find for me, but i got, it s just question of tile and luck :

You can usually find any plastic kit on Ebay if you search there frequently, that's how I completed my collection(if it's ever complete?).

Anyways, I got some "Young Town" Fujimi kits which most are no longer in production!(to my knowledge) Although, they can be easily "made" using the aftermarket Fujimi parts.

Wong, i think i have seen those 2 kits in several Popular shops and Bestway and Isetan branches. Roy's hobby has one on offer for SGD$20 something a few weeks ago.
They may not be that rare (or maybe those kits i saw are the last few pieces they have?).

I'd also never sell any of my kits rare or not. I have bought every single one of my kits for a reason, either because I generally like the vehicle or because it holds a special place in my heart. I'd have never have bought the curbside 1/24 Revell 641 F1 kit if Topgear hadn't raced the real one against the Ferrari F50 when it was released in '96. I bought that kit specifically because I couldn't find any others in 1/24 scale, and needless to say I have the Tamiya F50 too. I could have bought the 1/12 Tamiya F50 diecast and the 1/12 Tamiya 641 kit, but 1/12 are too much money and take up too much space.

Hey COZMO, I have two sets of the SMS 787B Photoetch sets, because I lost the A20 part for the first one and they sent me a replacement. If you want to work something out let me know

the B4 sign is for the sedan, the wagon counterpart is the GTB. i'm not sure if aoshima made a GTB version of it though, maybe they did, but i personally don't know. as i said before this was the last i saw of its kind. ;) the GT!!!

giordano, the only rare kit that i have are the lambo countach from tamiya, celica 2000GT also from tamiya and a 345 300ZX from fujimi.:D
