Ok lets start where we left off in "explain your usernames" and then see where it goes from here.
The Texas Instruments TI 994/A? That was my first pc then I moved up to a Commodore VIC-20 then an IBM PC XT. I guess I'm revealing too much about my age, huh?!
C-64 1541 DRIVE crappy 13inch black and white monitor with the t.v. game switch thingy to go from antennae to computer on the back of the t.v.

Did you game any with yours? I had Indiana Jones, I think something called skate or die and a few others. I remeber Atari 2600 joy sticks would plug into the c-64 and work with it.

My own first computer was a Packard Bell. It had an Intel Pentium 1 75MHz, 8MB of RAM, 1MB of video RAM, 850MB hard drive, 4x CD-Rom, 14.4K modem/soundcard.
I still have that computer, it now has an Intel Pentium 1 133MHz, 48MB of RAM, 2GB hard drive, and everything else is still the same, oh and I added a 33.6K modem and a 10 base T NIC.
The first computer I used? That would be debatable IBM XT, Commador 64, or and old Apple IIE. I can't be sure.

First comp I used would be a 386 at a friends. First one at home was a 486, bought from one of my moms school friends. It ran at 100mhz, had 16mb of RAM, and about 600mb of hdd space. Played Warcraft 2 great, starcraft, well, it worked, just the videos didnt play. I never really had access to shooters on that; my mom was against them. Had quite a few really fun games, tho; I got really good at Terminal Velocity, Warcraft 2, and a few others. It never was online, tho:rolleyes:

Gateway 2000
Pentium 120 (being used for an office pc)
2.1 gig hd (currently my second drive in this pc)
48 megs of ram
2 meg video
Awe 64 Soundblaster ( currently in this pc)
33.6 US Robotics Sportster Fax/modem (still have laying around somewhere)
8x cdrom
Sony Trinitron 17" monitor (still using it)
MS natural mouse ( just died a couple of months ago)
Who ever said they don't make things like they used to is bloody right! Those items still in use were new in 1996. The motherboard, cpu, cdrom, video card, and power supply are still going! Hard to believe.

My own first computer is my current IBM Thinkpad 700MHz Celeron POS. We've gone through tons of different family computers though that I used until I got my laptop and moved out for college. First one (which we still have, working immaculately) is a 1984 Commodore 128 (with built in 64 mode). It runs all the 64 programs, plus the slightly more advanced 128 programs. Same old monitor, but a newer disk drive and sleeker keyboard/motherboard. I have 200+ games for it...they're fun as hell :-D

Nice setup! my dad got rid of our old 64 a few years back. There is a good site that has tons of roms and emulators for the c64. I think one of my favorites was the zork series by infocom. Practically learned to type playing those games.

Elite - I was so addicted to that game (I also had it on the PC XT too)
Scramble - a 16 block simple game like the arcade one but simpler
BTW I'm also old enough to remember mechanical adding machines and learning how to read the new fangled electronic calculator with those LED number readouts. Oh and when we had a rotary dial on the TV to change channels

My first computer was from my Grandpa.. it was a Mitsubishi 200se? Laptop.. thing weighed like 30lbs at least. I got it from him in like 1995 along with this mini Dot-Matrix Printer along with it. Was very cool.
Cost 3 grand in like 1990... It had Windows 1.0?
Very Simplistic. Fun games like Microsoft's Flight Simulator and that Ski-Free game.
I was later upgraded to a random company computer, Just had a Pentium 200 chip with MMX Processor. I still have that computer, dont use it.
Right now I'm on a Gateway P2 450 with 12 gig HD Windows 98, cable modem w/ 15" Flatscreen monitor. Isnt the best computer but it does its job.
I believe we were supposed to also explain our names???
Redneck - my best friend calls me that because of the way I'll say something or the way I'll think of a problem. He said I'd be more fitting in the south than I would in SoCal. Not to mention my primary mode of transportation for over a year was a Primer Gray 70 Nova with a hole in the hood. Then I got a K5 Blazer (avatar) which is truely a redneck mobile.
383 - Refers to the number of cubic inches my motor is in my Nova.
I hope I wasted your time :)
