nx kit and ecu

i heard u dont have to do any serious tuning with nx dry kits how does the ecu detect that extra 02 in the engine for the 60hp and down kits

i don't think it has to. it just makes a bigger hotter combustion in the chamber.

no paonessa , nitro comes in liquid form in the bottle as soon as it gets out it turns to gas then with heat it becomes 1 part ox and 2 parts nitrogen the engine uses that extra oxygen for power and the nitrogen actually makes the air cooler this is as far as i know about nitro now i think the nitro gets in the intake after the throtle body and my quistion was how does the ecu detect that extra 02 in order to open up the fuel ijectors some more:bloated: :confused:

just goin thru some old threads and saw this. from what I know is when you add nos is that you have to retard timing, and increase the fuel load otherwise you get detonation. so to get more gas you can either reprogram your ecu with another fuel curve that only turns on when you hit the laughing button, or add an aftermarket fuel control system. however you still need to retard timing and that puts you back to reprograming or adding seperate contol box like an msd module that retards it and then tie that into your happy button. however nos isnt something you want to guess with, find someone who has done nos work before, even if it costs your time and some money. My advise is to find a drag racer that uses it and have them show you what they did and how it works. its not worth blowing your motor.

thanx for the reply but iknow that nx nitro kit u dont have to do anything unless u go more than 75 hp how do u reprogrm the fuel and timing anyway , thanx for ur help
