white face dial problem

sometimes my white face dials illuminate and sometimes they don't.....sometimes they blink and sometimes they fade in and out. they are practically brand new. someone told me it could be a fuse or a resistor ????

Anyone got any suggestions????

if they're the indiglo gauges, the face could have a short, there could be a short in the wire, there could be a problem with the resistor.

check all the wiring first, make sure you've got solid connections
