Right now i have a 95 Honda Civic sedan and am looking for a hatch for a swap project. I found this car and plan on going to look at it. I live in CT and was wondering if this price is right for the car:
1995 HONDA CIVIC VX
red/grey, 5 spd std, air bags, 2 dr, alarm, am/fm cass, CD, 4 cyl, exc cond, Kenwood stereo,103K highway mi, $4000 nego.
I posted this in another forum but wanted some more opinions...

Well, if you're looking for something for a swap project you want to find the shape/colour you want with HIGH kms and basic secs (eg. no CD player, sunroof) for a cheaper price. Then add your own preferances in CD/Tuners, engine etc. The important thing for your project body will be the condition of the drivetrain, brakes, interior and bodywork/paint. And most of these things can't be determined without seeing the car. So go give it a look. I'd try to get the seller down to about $3.5k on that particular car.

sounds good for a daily driver but for a project its a bit pricey......i mean to most of us project = real cheap, see if you can get down the price alittle bit then go sell it for more make a quick 500 or so then go look for another car for a project....

yeah, that car doesn't have enough miles on it to swap it out yet. Find a car that's coming up on 200,000 miles and you'll get it a lot cheaper. And that won't matter cause you're gonna swap the motor anyways.
