Question about Base HP

Question for all you buffs out there.. I'm shopping for a used 94 3000GT.. And I keep reading conflicting info.. Does the Base model have 212 HP..(DOHC) or 160 (SOHC) .. I've read so many conflicting reports i dont even know! LOL

The base 3000GT has the DOHC in it. The base Stealth has the SOHC in it. This might be what is causing your confusion.

a 94 base 3000gt has a dohc with 222 horse 205 torque

go on www.edmunds.com and find out the info.

The base gt did have 220HP but later it was changed to 160HP.

well they said it...the sl's had 222 all the way though and the vr-4 had about 300 during 91-93 and the upped the psi on the turbo's in 94 so it had about 325 from then on. not sure if thats exactly right about the stealths too but i think so.

dude thats exactly what I said so hows it wrong info plus there were never any es's with a sohc i dont know where the hell you heard that from
