I can't find anything in the FAQ but if u have a kit that has a lot of decals and want to protect them, do you:

1) Get the paintwork perfect which means sanded polished and clearcoated then apply decals?

or

2) Get a resonable paintjob, apply decals, let it dry then apply clear coat and do the rest to make it all shiny?

Im just a bit confused in the process of it all.

Paint, then decals, then clearcoat. I think you need to do a few very light coats of clearcoat to start off with, just to be sure that it doesn't have a bad reaction with the decals. Then you cut and polish as normal.

At least that's the theory - I'll be putting it to the test on my 206 WRC soon.

Apply the decals, wait a couple of days at least then spray the clear coat. And like focus2000 said, a couple of light coats then a heavier coat.
You should be ok with that. I've not had any problems with this method.
Good luck.
