engine problem

recently my 92 lx has been acting weird. it will be running perfectly and for no reason that i know of will suddenly jerk and die will im driving down the road. the check engine light comes on. then if i try to restart it, it wont start. but if i remove the key completly and try it again...it starts up quickly and runs perfect again. the check engine light goes off and doesnt come back on. it has ahppened about 3 times in the last month and never before then. it has about 70k miles on it. any ideas? it has never happened while i was at idle, only when driving down the road. im gonna get it checked out tomorrow i hope but was wondering if anyone has had this happen to them before. thx

my lx has been doing that for a while i think its the computer or maybe the injectors even tho injector cleaner has been put in it, it might have to do something with the fuel delivery get a new fuel filter put on clean injectors try fixing it the cheapest way 1st dont wanna spend a shyt load of money and replace things that worked fine

your fuel system is prolly dirty just get a cleaner that cleans the injectors and delivery system and if that dont work have the pump checked out.

i used to have a similar problem to a tbird i had. and if its that then it could be a problem with the oil and the oil pressure.

write down what code you're engine is throwing and you will be able to narrow down the problem

Try doing a couple of compression tests.

no, i just had a cracked distributor cap and whenever water got in there it would cut out. you guys were all way off. hehe. im just kidding
