Help!!!!!

Hey everyone... I am the proud new owner of an 83 944 n/a and am having some issues with getting the car started. Has anyone heard of this?
Basically it seems like there is a connection problem under the dash. You can start the car from under the hood but at the key it won't start. The previous owner looked at it before I bought it and thought he had it fixed, but then it started doing it again.:confused:

Hey man I got a whole steering column for sale with the key. Sounds like yours is bad. Its out of a 84 944 it will directly bolt up. This car was hit from the rear and Im parting it out. I dont mess with the electrics so I would just buy the whole column. Ill sell cheap. Baker. My E-mail address is [email protected]
