Here are pics of the recently completed supra. It has been quite a project and im very happy to have finally finished it. I made so many mistakes when making the car that it isnt even funny. this is the first time i tried to do anything but box stock. but in the process i have become a much much better modeler (at least i think so). it has seen so many paint jobs that i never want to see orange paint again. It has consumed parts from two supra kits to finish (since i ruined the suspension the first time i tried to lower it... oops) and after all that, im still missing the driver's side mirror. I will call and order the parts if they are still available from tamiya. (so actually its only 99% done... close enough for now). i also broke the left A pillar literally about 7 times!!
details on what went into this kit:
bomex body kit with matching hood
F&F decals (Oh, what a bitch they were to make!!!)
scratch built roll cage (no NOS or Amps... sorry)
huge tach and indicator lights
Belagio rims (sorry dont have tools to scratch build accurate rims)
lowered suspension
SAS wing
tinted back windows
Studio 27 Sparco seats with S27 seat belts (not accurate i know:p)
7 months of on and off modeling
all and all im happy with it. i thought i was crazy when i started building it. maybe i am, but i finished it and im satisfied. if i had to do it again, which i cant afford to do right now, i bet i could do a much better job. Hope you like it. Your comments are always welcome and appreciated. thanks

great model:)
quick question though, what happened to the centerconsol where the shiftboot and such are supposed to be, it appears as if there is a gap between the two? i know there isn't 'supposed' to be, but not sure what the F&F car looked like on the inside...

Looks great! I hate that movie, but love this model. Looks very good, you would certainly be a better modeller then you were before because anyone would of benefited from making half this car from scratch. Again, great job.

I'll second that! I've seen several attempts on the net and all look a pile of poo, some havn't even attempted a bodykit. Excellent work and i can't wait to see what you have planned next.
Glad to see you had no problems with the wing from what i see.

Way to go Coz. I was waiting to see it finished. Mow all you need is a Charger and the scene would be complete. (Maybe i'll let you "borrow" mine) The decals came out very well and the bodykit is awesome. 3 thumbs up if thats possible. Glad to see also that the orange and the rims worked out well. Whats your next project going to be?

wow thanks all for your comments! Guess i should try to answer some of the questions that have been asked about the kit.
seats? ...the S27 seats were purchased from mediamix hobby
decals?...the decals were printed from a graphic i got online that was "cleaned up" with photoshop. door decals were printed on white decal paper and the logo's were printed on a clear decal sheet. some of the graphics were made from scratch on paintbrush.
Paint job?the color of the paint is a custom mix of the basic Tamiya X6 and X8 (gloss orange & yellow) in a roughly a 4:1 ratio
contest entry?...Yes this is the model i will enter into the contest.
Gap in console?...the gap you see between the console and the dash is because i didnt glue the dash in and it was slightly off when i took the picture
first modified model?...this model is the first model that i tried to make that wasnt box stock but i have modified and completed other kits since starting the supra. i have a nasty habbit of starting several kits at once. this kit took the longest of them all. one example would be the scooby with opening doors.
to FOTW: the wing was perfect. but i have one request for you chris. could you post some basic instructions on your website to show exactly how to put them together? i know it may be obvious , but i would just like to know that i put the thing together the way it was designed. doesnt have to be fancy. simple is better. just a suggestion. thanks
next project?... not sure what is next on the list. Something simple probably since I hardly have the time to model nowadays. Im thinking about starting an NSX that I picked up off ebay recently. Nothing special. Probably stock rims since I have no replacements for them. We will see.
hope that answers most of your questions. thanks again for all your comments.

Now if you have done what i did with mine and glued it onto the model with Kristal Klear (or something similar), you will be able to remove it and maybe add the proper APR wing which i will do this year.;)

Thanks Chris!.. looks like i did the right thing and the wing is attached with a bit of tamiya clear so it shouldnt be to hard to switch wings in the future. also i actually installed the end plates of the wings inside out so that the bolts were on the inside of the wing. i then placed my own bolts on the outside made with stretched sprue. its not perfect but the bolts match up to the wings better that way
