Well I just finished up my friends B16A1 swap in a CRX Si and took for a test drive and found out that the speedometer doesn't work. What could be wrong or what did I do wrong? I used the Si speed sensor cable or do I have to use the B16A1 VSS? :bandit:

Si speed sensor should work, unless you have an electronic cluster. Make sure that the cable is hooked up all the way in along with the speed sensor. To test if the cable is bad or not, run the car without the cluster and see if the cable is turning...then go from there.

Yeh like Ef said. I thought i had mine in all the way but i didn't . JUST plug it as far as u can and you should have ur stock pin on it just incase it doen't pop out again.

If the speedo cable isnt plugged into the the tranny it may not be spinning the speedo in your cluster. Try slipping it out of the tranny and into a drill and spinning it with the drill, yeah it may spin a mile or two on your speedo but that will tell you the cable and cluster work ok. Then you will know that it was the cable not locked into the the tranny...good luck...hope this helps...
