How many times have you been pulled over?

For me, just recently, inthe past about 7 weeks. I have been pulled over eleven times. What a bunch of crap. It has all been for petty stuff. I know they were hoping to get more. But, overall, I have been given one ticket, for speeding 70 in a 55, on the freeway. Well, the freeway speed limit is 65. I get to go in to court tomorrow to fight this one.

A couple. Most were random breath tests - all of which I passed. Once for speeding and neg. driving (changed lanes in front of him  ), but got a warning.

Once, this year. It was for having no lincense in the front. No biggie, he was nice & all. I have to admit, cops in my town are pretty cool.

Twice in a week. First one was for expired tags. The cop was really nice about it. Just told me to get it taken care of ASAP. The second time I was coming home from Christmas and a state trooper pulled me over for speeding (78 in a 65) Told me he didnt want to ruin my Christmas and gave me a warning. :)

Once in 4 years of driving... Lame ass reason: My faceshield (riding my motorcycle) was up too high. Result: Written warning. How kind.

Twice in the past 12 years, both in New Zealand! Of course that is not counting the check point where they pull everyone over.
The first was about 6 weeks after I got here. coming home after working 14 hrs I was a bit tired and driving on the wrong side of the road lmao. Oppps . thankfully an older cop and we had a good laugh about it.
The second was unsafe change of lanes. Traveling up the motorway the guy in front slams on the brakes. I made a split decsion and changed into the right lane. As I cleared him I saw why he hit the brakes. A three car nose to tail. Oppps I was number 4! bugger.

1 time for speeding - 64 in a 40, back in my stupider days, on an abandoned road (just me & the cop) out in the boonies, at 2 a.m. Ticketed for 10 over.
Pulled over about a year ago, no license plate lights (didn't even know I had such a thing), verbal warning, basically a curfew check as it was 2 a.m.
Pulled over about 3 months ago, 2 a.m., no front plate, (basically a curfew check), verbal warning. (But I ain't putting screws through my new bumper paint!!!!!)

I've been pulled over somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 times in my two years of driving. I'll only list the ones that were legitimate
1. Speeding, 71 in a 55. I was trying to get home on time and I hadn't been driving long...I might've gotten a warning but he said I was trying to get away from him because I turned onto a side road off of the main highway. Only I was sitting on the side of the road in park with my headlights and interior lights on. Yeah I was gonna get away like that.Ticket. 8 Hours Community Service and 100 bucks
2. Speeding, 47 in a 30. My fault again, I had just left work at ~1 am and forgot which road I was on, I seriously believed the speed limit was 45.Written Warning
3. Running a redlight. Once again coming home from work at ~12:30 am or so and I was IN the intersection at yellow. The real reason he pulled me over is because it was late and I was in a 75 chevy impala.Once he realized I wasn't a thug he let me go. Verbal warning.
4. Speeding, 85 in a 45. Once again in the impala, this time trying to get my girl home on time(stupid I know). Well the cop was very impressed with how clean my car was, so he looked at it for a few minutes, asked me some questions like "are those the original miles", "do you have any automatic rifles hand grenades or dead bodies in the car" etc...let me go. Verbal Warning.
5. Speeding, 60-63 in a 55. He didn't clock me. I was coming home late from a movie with a friend about 1:30am, passing through a small hick town and right over a hill a cop met me head on. I saw him turn around but I figured he would just follow me and see if I was weaving since it was so late. Nope. He followed me all the way through the town to the border of my city and pulled me over. Said I was going way too fast and got me out and searched my truck blah blah blah. Well I knew he was full of crap because I wasn't speeding. Gave me a ticket for "Above Posted and Prudent speed". Went to court, plead not guilty, cop couldn't remember giving me the ticket, judge threw it out and I was found not guilty. Hooray!
6. Speeding, 45-50 in a 25. I was playing catch up to a friend of mine who had left church ahead of me in his mr2 turbo...I wasn't clocked he just saw me and pulled me over a few streets down. Asked me where I was going and where I was coming from. Told him my friends name and what church I went to, he let me go. Verbal warning.
Those are really the ones that matter...Only had 2 tickets and neither are on my record. I've been pulled over a few more times, not counting many on skateboards or on foot lol. I just realized this post makes me seem like a bad driver, but I'm really very safe and don't usually go more than 5 over the limit unless its late on a back road when I'm alone in the car :D

I got pulled over 2 weeks ago, for expired tags. I guess the cop had a little problem with them being expired by 7 months  Acutally that was the first time since they expired I got pulled over so I got lucky. Money hasnt been great for me this year, so I had to wait until I got Christmas bonus money to get that taken care of.

Ive been unbelieveably lucky. I have only been pulled over twice
First time was about 10min after I got my first set of subs fully installed in my car. I was bumpin pretty loud, and got pulled over. Got a verbal and was given a lecture from the cop about how unsafe it is to drive with the stereo turned up so loud.
Second time, I was driving home from work at night, and I blew a headlight. Cop pulls me over about 10min lator, and didnt believe my story about how my light went out. Wrote me a ticket, which I got reversed when I replaced the bulb and drove to the cop station the next day.

Once for going 48MPH in a 35MPH zone, got a ticket, Longmont police can bite my ass!!!
Once for going 69MPH in a 55MPH zone, got out of that one.
Once for not racing, the officer wanted to ask me about my car.
Once for going 45MPH in a 30MPH zone, ticketed, took traffic school.
Once for going 88MPH in a 65MPH zone, ticketed, got iff with 78MPH in a 65MPH zone, I am going to take traffic school for that one.

First time, "something over 50" in a 40, which was B.S. Verbal
Second dont even remember, it was stupid. Verbal
Third, oh, this was a cool one, - blowing crazy donuts and powerslides in the 7, the day after i got it on the road. the two cops were motorheads and were all asking me about my car and its engine and stuff. Verbal
The most recent. UMass cop pulled me over for doing "something over 50" (yeap, that again) in a 30. From a mile away. Too bad he didn't notice that i was riding on my donut in snowy weather AND he didnt sign the ticket AND he didnt mark whether he clocked, estimated or radared me. Ah, digital camera's how i love you so. I go to court in 2 months.

I think my total is up to around 18. I havent gotten a ticket on all of them though. I think i've gotten 8 tickets. most for speeding. The highest was the most currrent one of $625..I'm not even sure exactly why it was that high. I was doing 65 in a 35...the cop wasnt to happy. Then on top of it i had "illegal components" on my car...whatever that means. :finger: neways, i hope you all had better luck than me.

do you only have to pay in america?
we get points for speeding and at 12 points your driverīs license is away for 3 month
you get about 2 points for 10-20kmh more speeding than allowed.
20-34 3 points
and more than 34 your license is away for 6 month or longer
and of course itīs not cheap :D

I got pulled over yesterday.Nothing drastic,we were passing through Oakura on Beach Carnival day,and there was a liquor ban in force.Apparently, you can't even transport alcohol through the area to consume at a private function outside the ban area. The city council are a bunch of assholes, and the cops were getting shitloads of abuse for trying to enforce bad and unpopular legislation.Alcohol is a legal purchase, target the drunks, not the drinks.
