New car to buy.

Hi, I just turned 19 and I am being more or less forced to get a new car as my three (yes, three) current vehicles cost too much to maintain.
I am looking at either getting a Toyota Celica GT or Honda Civic EX, both new, hopefully just before the 2004 models come out so I can find a 2003 that has been sitting on the lot and the dealer desides to give it at a better price.
What I am wondering is, which would be better in terms of insurance? and which would be one of the more enjoyable cars to have (in you opinion)?
Also if anyone has any other ideas on what to get keeping on a 20k and under budget and in relative good sense when it comes to insurance, feel free to suggest something. I have until next fall to decide.

You've got quite some time before the 04s come out. However, between the two I'd go with the Civic. But with the time you have, you should look into some VW's as well.

Insurance = civic
Enjoyment = celica Gt, unless u transplant the motor in the civic and get a turbo

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, I am thinking about the Civic or maybe its nicer brother the RSX (however I have the feeling the insurance would not be as cheap and might be stretching my price range).
As for the VW's, out of the three cars I currently own, one is a '74 superbeetle so honestly I am not opposed to the idea. Although I dislike the new beetles but the Jettas are not bad for a 4 door (generally something I dislike as well), nice power too.
Engine swapping might be a bit out of the question to as my current only experience with motors is my bug's... which is probably far from a normal engine.
I think I am still split between the two (three actually if I can stretch for the RSX). However I am leaning away from the celica as it would probably be a good target for the police to assume I am doing something wrong. Thanks for the info though.
