Did you have to 'look pleased' for any of your relatives at present opening time?
I just got given the ugliest calendar ever printed ,by my mother-in- law:bloated:
I smiled, like you do:huh:

Yep! The process is
1. Unwrap present
2. Have pleasantly surprised look on face
3. Inspect gift
4. Turn to person who gave it to you (cue warm smile) and say "Thanks [blah blah blah]"
5. Repeat

Nope! We had it all set this year. Rather than presents, we had people give us the amount they would have spent, in cash. Then we donated it all. :D

No stinkers this Christmas. However we did do a gag gift for my sister. The look on her face was a riot. She has vowed revenge which should prove fun next year. :)

It's the thought that counts. All I wanted this christmas was my mother & grandmother's love....

Actually most presents this year were awesome. I needed things, and got them without asking or anything. Got WAY too much candy, though... which has been passed-by for some foreign sweets. ;)
Yeah, that's about it.

I got a really nice hacksaw, it has a lever tightening assembly so it doesn't twist the blade at all.

As I recall, the purpose of this thread was talking about how you have to smile and act nice, even when you are disappointed by some useless or tasteless gift.
