Just thought I'd tidy up a few images from my files.....so I put them through the shredder:devil:
Only trouble is,when I moused over them to group them for shredding,I managed to mouse over a folder marked "AF".:o
That was all my pics of AF people,ALLthe names and addresses, all my forum pics, all the best stuff that I kept this year......

Have you checked your recycle bin? :D
Either way, theyr not lost, If i'm not mistaken, you can recover them with Norton Systemworks. And there is a lot of programs u can use to get them:

Cheers :)

Not sure if I can retrieve anything once it has been through the SpecLab Shredder, but I have managed to find a backup disc that I made last time I formatted.Good news is,I have managed to reload my favourite AF people pics, bad news is ,anything I handled after August is toast.
Is it possible to change the default on WindowsME so that image downloads go straight to a sub-folder of My Pictures,or do I have to manually reroute each one?

Get a copy of XSetup from winfiles.com or download.com. Run it and then go to here

and change the location you'd the different files to be saved.

Yeah, you could do that if you're a n00b. To gain an insight into the way your computer works, goto Run and type regedit and press enter. Press F3 to search and enter the full path (C:\Documents go here or whatever). When it finds the right tab (press F3 to goto next search item), change the value.

regedit is for those who know what they are doing. If anyone really wants to hose Windows on their machine - play around with the registry settings with regedit. (I've seen to many mistakes made using that program)

If you screw stuff up with regedit, you shouldn't have been fiddling with teh things u didn't know about. I was just trying to rock Mr Ts world with what he could do. Yes, however, extreme caution advised when playing with your registry.
