Airbag expulsion location

Where exactly does the airbag deploy on a 6th gencivic. I want to place something on top of the small part between the wheel and the gauge cluster trim thats on the steering column but I dont want it to interfere with the bag. Does the airbag come out of the front or from somewhere else? thanks

no, no I mean where does the air bag come out of exactly, the front of the steering wheel?

Oh sorry. The driver side airbag is in the steering wheel and deploys right out the center of it forward to the driver. That is why the horn buttons are on the perimiter of the wheel. If you were to place something on the plastic piece over the column, it wont interfere with the airbag deployment. It will prob come off if you were to ever release the airbag. Remember, the airbag deploys at roughly 60mph.
