95 Maxima - Intermittent Power Lock Problem

Has anyone experienced any problems with their electronic door lock occasionally locking themselves in close position when door are shut or when driving and hitting a pothole? Sometimes when I activate the master lock button to unlock all the door locks, all door locks with exception of driver door unlock then lock itself back to closed(locked) position. Its driving me nuts and the local dealership charges over 100 dollars just to inspect and analyze electronic problems. Car is 95 Maxima with over 105K miles and running strong. Any helpful insight and/or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your time,

I have a similar issue on a 92 SE. Also, sometimes the electronic locks stop working completely. I haven't attempted to get it repaired.

I have a similar problem with my 93 Maxima electronic locks. They work sometimes and then they don’t others. I went to the Nissan Dealer and they said it was the $145 master switch in the drive door that controls the windows and the locks. THAT WAS NOT IT! I wasted my money.
Does anyone have any answers?

I had the same problem, the driver's side just locks itself while making a weird noise, then it stopped working for a while and BAM now it's stuck in the lock position *sigh* No matter how hard I pull or do anything, it just won't move. The dealer says it's probably the actuator but since the door won't open, they can't do anything about it. I don't want to break the door panel like they said, help! (IM me at AOL with my user ID)

Of course not I quit smoking ten years ago :)~
I pulled the radio out and every wire behind the radio on the harness is electrical taped but thanks for the thought!

Just a guess: The driver side switch pack has the only switch [with door master sw] that when activated does just that. Maybe there is:
a. smtg loose
b. broken pcb or sw, provoked by vibration and/or [c.]
c. oxidated connectors and +12V supply power too low
Test like NASA Houston tells astronauts: bounce it with a fist - to simulate a bump to locate the problem point...
Or just repla$e.
