Well its on its way here, Its the Initial D car driven by Ryosuke Takahashi.. I can't wait for it to get here, I ordered it from Japan so it's going to take about a week, Surprisingly enough it was cheaper to order rit from Japan than all the local hobby stores around here in GA. I will post pics of it as soon as it gets here.. I attached a pic of the box.

Yay, Jose! :D I've been dying to see how good the anime kits are compared to the regular car kits. I've always assumed that they were just re-issues with figures, but I'd sure like to see it comfirmed. ;) If so, I'll just buy a bunch of those and re-arrange the figures into drivers. :D

The local hobby stores that bother to carry japanese models charge $25 or better for them, while you can order the same kits from Japan (or Hong Kong, it seems) for ~$15 and pay shipping. You still come out ahead.

I've heard that the Initial D kits from Fujimi are basically just the regular kit plus some add-ons... so it's not the best quality stuff, that's why there are other modeling companys that make resine conversion parts to make the Fujimi Initial D kits to looking exactally like the once in the Animation.

Yeah they got kits you can add on to your regular one, but these are the INitial D originals, My friend bought one and it is very nice, good detail and easy to put together, I will try to get a pic of it, I am not extremely good at building these and usually get frustrated and destroy them.. , I still have a First Gen RX-7 that i have no finished, It has a really nice paint job on it, I gave it like 4 primer coats and like 17 regular color coats and then 5 clear coats...I hope i do a good job on this one, i will post pics as soon as i get it in..If i do good i plan on ordering the whole Initial D collection..:)

I'm glad you found your way in here, Jose. :D I've got the Tamiya RX-7 R1 kit (because it has the engine ;) ) and the engine bay is a little sparse. So, when I got to working on it, I was planning on tracking you down to get me pics of engine details. You being all involved with the RX-7s and all. :D

Yeah they are expensive as shit.. But their location is pretty cool, it used to be a movie theatre so they got racing tracks for competitions indoors for R/C cars..And they have a huge track for the electric guided slot cars.. pretty sweet.
