I got mine installed at a professional auto underbody place (ex. Meineke muffler, Karkare Center, somewhere like that).

did they remember to disconnect your battery so your ecu can reset?
I'm worried that a non nissan place won't know about the little things and the nissan place won't put it on. i'm most likely going to do it myself.

I reset the ECU myself, I didn't trust them to do it.

Not really, just make sure you jack the car up enough and you should be fine. Its surprisingly easy.

how long did it take you? how did you run the 02 sensor?

It took me about 2-3 hours jack up to jack down. I had to reposition the O2 sensor a little bit to have a snug fit.

so all in all it was pretty easy?

not worth paying sweaty bob the fat mechanic $50/hr to do it for me?

It depends on how mechanically inclined you are. I did it myself because I didn't want anybody else messing with my car, especially when I can do it myself. Overall, if you have enough patience, do it!

i think me and a friend are gonna do it.

gotta wait til it's not 25 degrees out though.

When those idiots got halfway through it and didn't know how to do it, I just told them to put the stock one back on, and I just did it myself. It was worth every penny.:)

Which Y pipe are you installing?, I got the Warpspeed one (www.warpspeedperformance.com) and it fits prefectly, the trick is to disconnect the cables of the o2 sensor so you can change them to the other Y pipe with the pipes on the floor

I really dont know about the budget one, but being so easy with mine id say you should try putting it yourself, of course it depends on how mechanical you are

To the ones that did install it through a mechanic:
How much did you guys pay? Where I am the winter is going to last probably for anoter 3 month, and I don't want to wait that long.

yeah it's a typical NY winter. 20 degrees and 8 inches of snow.
I'm gonna put the money towards a gamecube to pass the winter and get the y pipe when the weather breaks. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, i'll try it myself with a buddy. i gotta get some car stands.

I just installed a warpspeed stainless mig y-pipe. I know your talking about budget but a y-pipe cant differ that much! It was really easy to do I just made sure to soak all the bolts with penetrent--Pb Blaster is the best--I mean the best It's all I use. I only broke one bolt off in the cat and the rest came loose-- make sure you un-hook all those clips on the O2 sensor and it'll make removal and installation easy--ps for the broken cat bolt- i used a 4in grinder and smoothed the bolt head off and then re drilled it--should of tapped it but just used bolt and nut instead. It works.

It can differ when it comes to a better price for the same performance, that is what Budget has to offer.
