whats this thing for?

whats the thing that sitcks off the back of this for? ive seen it on cars and i have no idea what it could be

It's a wheelie bar so that drag cars don't flip over backwards :)

This is what can happen without one....not good on front ends when you land back down.

Not great for the chrome on the rear bumper either :)
