I have been experimenting with fiberglass boxes lately and have came up with a perfect sounding and fitting box. This one houses 2 12" Fosgates. It fits perfectly into the spare tire well. I still have to sand it down and paint it but I just had to try it out. It is AWESOME!!!!!!! Sounds much deeper than any MDF box I have ever had! I can build these for you guys, I can make these house 1 10, 2 10's, 1 12, 2 12's and 1 15. Email me at [email protected] if your interested! I can also do custom work if you dont like the design.

The box would be much stronger if you were to mold it into the car. and what did you coat the inside with to keep it from flexing. I find that Kitty Hair works the best

I do this kind of stuff all day. And that is the way to go if you want to be able to remove it. but as for the secerets I think I know most of them. lol

I am not completely sure of this, But I believe that I read in a few articles that you could use body filler to smooth it out.. and also that by doing this you would make it much easier to primer and paint..
Anyone tried this?

I tried the body filler approach on my speaker pods.
It tuned out all right. I know for a fact it would of looked alot better if i took my time and sanded the fiberglass.
But you are correct use body filler to fill in decent size divots, or scratches. Dont worry about doing that to little rouph spots.. waste of time because you will end up sanding most of it off anyway.
Either way body filler or not there will be alot of sanding. Wear a mask, fiberglass dust in the lungs is definatly NOT healthy. :bloated:
