Can anyone tell me whether the Maxima is registered as a sports car or a 4 door sedan in insurance billing? I believe it is registered as a 4 door sedan. Thanks ahead of time.

you sure about that $90?
mines almost $3000/yr and i'm 19 with no accidents that were my fault.
being 16 i assume you don't have your own insurance policy. i think mine might have been $128 when it was on my parents. it's about double that now. and it's considered a family sedan.

I'm in SC (the two most accident prone streets in the US are my daily routes) and I only pay $90 dollars a month on the Max.

Yep, definitely categorized as family sedan, even though it's really a sports sedan. Works out pretty well if you ask me, as far as cheap insurance for good performance.

if ur insurance is only 90 bucks a month, you must only have liability. so ud be screwed if u wreck and it ur fault. it all come out of ur pocket

I am 20 and paying $280/month for my 2k max. That is full coverage with one accident.
Its pretty steep but then again, Houston is one of the most expensive places to have insurance.

i live in NY too and i'm 19 and i pay a lot more than that. there is no way your insurance can be that low on your own policy for full coverage.

I have full coverage. I'm 23 and have a perfect record (I found a way to get a perfect record in this state) I also have another car so the whole multiple car discount comes into play. When I had my saturn here (slc2) I was paying a whooping $343 a month. Yes, it's a Saturn. But it was two door. Right before I found out how to erase my record I was paying $380 for a Pathfinder and my Max now I pay $208 a month.

Damn all of you cats are so young, or is it I'm so old, anyway I'm not gonna even bother to tell my age and insurance rates. Let's just say I have a grandfather clause in my rates that assures me that I won't pay a quarter <or is it I only pay a quarter, I forget>I guess that's my Alzheimer's kickin in.:D

Paonessa, i apoligize, let me rephrase that.
right now i pay $500/yr (yes really per year) because im under my fathers name, however the last quote i got from state farm in yonkers on central ave for my own policy, being 19 yrs old, for full coverage, was $1,300/yr. i dont know if the guy that gave me the quote was one card short of a full deck, but thats the quote i got, and i was at the office when he gave it too me, not over the phone.
maybe they took into account that i have my own place, full time job and full time school. maybe they thought i was responsable? HAHAHA yeah right!
