Thats a badass time on a SOHC, i almost have the same set up as you, but i am still breaking in the motor....so i dont know how fast it is...can you tell me if you still have the stock 75mm bore on your a6 since you have aftermarket pistons?? I hope that my a6 will be in the 14s since i did so much stuff to it.

D16A6, L3 tranny, ACT 4-puck clutch, 440cc DSM injectors, V-AFC controller, 14b turbo, 11 psi, 13x7 slicks, D16A1 (1st gen 'Teg) con. rods, stock pistons, custom CAI, full 2" exhaust, test pipe (no cat.), custom short shifter, polished head(not ported), rising rate regulator...and a few other small things. Overall this is a very very inexpensive build, i got most of my parts from the junkyard, and by the way i can get 4 D16A1 connecting rods if anybody wants them, just lemme know a price. They supposedly hold 220 horsepower and they are doing just fine in my setup.

They are not hard to come by. But yeah, they should be good for about 200hp or so.
Not sure what I will run. Shooting for low 13's n/a, with this first setup.

1/4 Speed: 77
Absolutely bone stock, needs a new air filter, and spark plugs...

melt, you should start saving your $$. you could get the MPFI parts for between $100-200. it is something small to do but will make the world of difference. after that get an EX tranny. then sometime in the future i'd suggest a header. even an OBX header would help. you really need I/H/E to get the full potiential HP gain. i know $$ is easier said then done. however, i also know those little upgrades will really flip your switch.
91ZC i've been meaning to mention this. local kid bought a fully gutted b16 CRX and it runs 14.1....your 14.8 with full interior speaks loudly for the sedan! that crx has been skimmed down to almost nothing. it can really only go in a straight line on a flat surface. almost doesn't seem worth it when a full interior 4 door is only 0.7 slower.
no i don't know what the y8 does. probably not good. the car is beyond needing a diet. it needs turbo too  probably will take it to the track in april (when it opens back up)

Actually it is worth it if your at the track or racing in the streets. You'll feel the difference from 14.8 to 14.1..trust me on that. I wouldn't gut my interior like that. I regret doin mine which i only took out the back interior off. Now it seems a bit complicated to put it back together...oh well.:(

if they swap a 1.6 in it will have the DPFI unless they change it to MPFI. One such person i can think of is Melt, he has a 1.6 Sohc ZC with DPFI. Dont blame him though, when he bought it the engien was already in there.

BONE STOCK B16A in a 91 DX, with full interior, 16" rims and stereo.. It was a muggy day and there was a lot of weight in the car as I wanted to see how it would run exactly the way I was driving it on the streets.
Next summer I'll get 14s for sure.. I upgraded my exhaust, and there is likley more to come.

I was never sure what my setup was pushing, I am still unsure of what the ZC's HP rating is, at that point I had read on a website that it was 125, but since then have found more comprehensive numbers.
As far as my tranny goes, im assuming its still the DX tranny.

I haven't been to the track yet and don't plan to until I have the t3/t4 sorted out but I have new dist., alt, plug wires, clutch(machined flywheel) basic interior components removed without stripping. Running on stock steelies I chirp into third without a problem. THe other day in the rain (major traction issues for both) stayed beside a newer vette to 140 when we both let off. If it was dry I would have been owned but he couldn't hook up. It was funny, he was embarrassed and made a quick right.
