I'm engaged!

Thought I would tell the girlies first, I got engaged today. I've been dating Mac for 1 yr, 11.5 months, we've been talking for a while and ring shopping, and today he scared me to death while I was getting out of the shower. I hadn't heard him sneak into my house so I had a heart attack when I opened the bathroom door and there he was. He'd brought over a basket with sparkling cider (I'm underage) and wine glasses and chocolate and smelly bath stuff and a ring in the middle.

Soo..that's my news. :)

Do you get the underage lecture alot? It seems while in Utah, we always got it. Once we moved out, it was rarely mentioned.

Not yet, (not even from my parents! :eek: ) but I suppose it'll come sooner or later.

Although in this part of UT you're considered an 'old maid' if you're not married by 25.:bloated:

Wow, we're not nearly that patient. We have a date set for May 6, and I haven't done ANY planning yet. Horrible, I know, but I never was a big 'ceremony' person.

Too late now, the date's next Tuesday. :bloated: I went dress shopping today finally, we are so fricking cheap, but I am buying a house at the end of May, hopefully (I have contract on it but it doesn't close until the 30th) and that seems so much more important than some stupid whilte flowers and frills.

Imagine, a homeowner at 21. What a fantastic world. :)

I was engaged for less than a month before we hopped into the marriage !! And get this I got married at 16, so I got the too young comments ALL THE DAMN TIME !!!
But oh well, I'm happy now and thats what counts.
