you can just plug it in, he said he has a 98 hatch i know those clusters just plug in you canuse whatever you want i even heard you can use an integra cluster, my friend 97civhatch has a 98 auto ex cluster in his 97 cx manual and the tach works, reverse guages are going to cover up the auto markings or where it tells you which gear your in

I swapped mine with a JDM cluster - guess what? Not plug and play... I guess the JDM one can only take a tach/speedo reading off a JDM car - so if I want to use it I have to wire them directly to the sensors and shit... no ig deal, but if you are sticking with the same shit - like just going from a USDM CX/DX to an EX/SI you shouldnt have any problems.

Mah bad. I thought it said that he had a 98 hatch cluster and he was putting it into the hatch that was in his picture.

i got a 98 hatch dx
you can plug those clusters in and the tach will work, they are already wired for them, you plug in like 3 things and your done, unless hes talkin about it for his car which it doesent say in his post it wont work but it says for a 98 dx and yes it will work in that

ok, same topic similar question
Ive got a 97 civic lx
up until a month ago it had an automatic transmission
a month ago i got a b16a put in, and the transmission converted
Ive still got the lx gauge cluster in there it displays lots of funky lights.. which is kind of neat. but i think the tach is off. In a few months the redline will be up to 10000 I need to get one that will go up to atleast 9000rpms. I was wondering what sort of gauge cluster i should look for (siR?), and how hard it would be install?
