H22A boost concerns

I just got a JDM H22A which has a cr of 10.6. I was planning to slap a cometic or rIDEAL head gasket on to drop the cr just under 10.0. Which that compression ratio, how much boost do you think I will be able to run on the stock internals max, without having to worry about my ring lands. I've been hearing bad things about H22 ring lands. Maybe the JDM ones are stronger....I hope

i still think that the internals of a h22a can only take a mix of 10psi with a cr of 10:1,
10:1 is still pretty high, i also heard that the piston rings will go with boost higher than 10psi,

i say go all out and do your internals , fuel, and ignition sys, then go and boost the h22a

you can fry the piston rings at even lower psi if your not tuned right.

10psi is definately pushing it. even 9psi is a stretch but some people do get away with boosting 9psi on stock internals.

just do it right the first time. too many people short cut their way to so much hp and they end up spendin more $$ than they could have if they did it right in the first place.

I only plan to use 6-7lbs of boost. I'll be using 4lbs daily. I am planning to get a MSD-BTM and FMAXs ERL-MF@, which is an additional injector controller. After the install, I plan to take it to the dyno for tuning. With all of the that, will I still have to worry about my ringlands? I am most concerned about them

Are there any turbo Prelude owners out there????? What's your insight?

yes, i have had a turbcharged 5th gen, and am currently rebuilding mine back up for turbo duty.

all i'll say is "be careful" and make sure your fuel is properly tuned.
