Supercharging

I have a 99' Eclipse GS and I was wondering if I could supercharge it? If you can supercharge it what do you need to do? Has anybody else done this before? Is it a bad idea? Why or why not would you supercharge a vehicle rather than turbo it? Sorry for all the questions, i'm a newbie. I know all you guys will say that i'd be better off buying a GST or GSX, but if you could give me some answers it would be very helpful. Thank you.

my cousin has a 99 GS as I do and he has a supercharger. im not sure of the kit but he has the engine bored out little and a 2.5 in. exausght all the way back and ran a 13.6. I can find out where he got the chaarger if u want.

I myself have never heard of a super charger kit for the GS or any of the eclipse line. W/ the availability of Turbo kits, or turbo model cars, I guess the aftermarket didn't want to develop them. Look up "Hahn Turbo kits", or "Star Turbo kits". Google should help you out.

There is a SD for the 3G but I am not sure what is availiable for the 2G. Here is a link to see the one for the 3G from RIPP Mods.
