94 accord speedometer

My speedometer is not workinh most of the time, some of the time it works, some times jumpy soems times dead. Ant ideas ? Is there a cable or is it electronic ? Thanks for any help !!

Do u have indiglo gauges?? My car does this every so often because of the gauges and needle touching ... but just in case you don't have them, it might be little electronical work, if you know quite a bit with your car, then i would recommend taking it apart, but if not, take it to a local performance shop and ask them to help you out, they might have another opinion that may be help as well
