i have a 1990 300zx no turbo.
front wheel drive rims work on it ? or do i have to get a certian type of rim. b/c the all the rear wheel drive rims that i find r for old cars.. like chevells, and stuff like that, im pretty sure that fWD rims will work but im not sure.
thanks JIM

The rim may belong on the rear or front lugs. As for the rim being different for a front wheel drive car as apposed to a rear wheel drive car I don't think it matters.?!
Does anyone want to help me out on this?

The thing with FWD and RWD isn't whether or not they make different rims for the car based on the mode of drive but it is the offset. The 300zx takes a wheel with a pretty serious offset usually +35 and above if my memory serves me correct. Most FWD cars do not take that kind of offset.
You need to find wheels with the correct lug pattern and offset or else you will not be able to fit the wheel over the brake calipers or it will just look silly if u do get it to fit properly over the calipers.

ROFL at the mod posting in a necro thread.
Anyway, for posterity, k3 wins it with the correct response, drive line setup doesn't limit wheel selection, it's all about offset, lug pattern and clearance.
