Sorry, had to quote a little Star Wars there....anyway

I changed the valve cover gasket today, after I got done I let the car warm up to make sure it wasnt leaking, after it got warmed up I reved a few times to about 3 to 3 and a half grand and the number three piston started working, apparently what ever had it clogged came loose....kick ass!

the only problem now is whem I rev it it smokes quite a bit....I dont know if its because it sat for a long time without running or if some of the seals need changed....what do you guys think. I pretty sure the head gasket is brand new, no external leaks.

one of the piston rings may be fried, that could be the reason why its smokin..

cars do funny things when you work on them. drive it around a couple of days. don't torture run it. see if it's still smoking after a couple of days. is it blue-ish or white smoke? it could be a lot of things from headgasket to seals to rings....

Well i just drove it down the street to change the oil...it was pretty cool, its the first time i've driven it...it wasnt smoking to bad, just a little puff here and there so i think its gonna be alright. it sat for like three years without being started so i think it may have leeked a little oil into various places but as soon as all of it burns up it should be ok, the oil that was in it was about as thin as water so im sure that had a little to do with it to.
