Ok Ok...
Need an opinion the more replies the better.
Should I....continue to modify my car(GTS-T)
Or...save up for the better version *cough* GTR

How much have you invested in the GTS-T (I believe that's the 2wd turbo model, right?), what do you primarily do with the car (drag, autocross, highway speeding, back road blitzing?) and what is it not doing that you think a GT-R could do better or more easily (accelerating, cornering, braking, getting chicks)?
And by the way, which generation is it? 30? 31? 32? 33? 34? Or is it earlier like a KPCG series Skyline? Your answer will help me give you advice, as well as determine how much I envy you.

If you need AWD, upgrade.
If you have a lot of money in this car, I would say keep it. Depending on where you live you don't REALLY need the AWD, though it is useful for certain applications.
All in all, I can only see getting AWD as the only advantage to upgrading to the GTR.

From the little I know, your car should be a bit lighter also. I would stay with what you got. That has the RB25DET right? You could also go for the engine swap.

Its actually the RB20DET 2WD TypeM. R32
GTRs over here are in a leage of their own.
$4$ I'd say I'm doing fine. Other than boosting at 1bar, Air fuel computer
decent clutch, intake/exaust blah blah.
Now I need to go the way of bigger intercooler and turbo.
but now that R32 GTRs are getting cheaper .....I've been thinking why not just get one of those.

Oooh, type M. Very nice. Good for drifting.
Well, at 4K of investment, and if you're at the point where to get more performance out of the engine you'll have to do major rebuild work that could possibly result in picking parts up off the side of the road, and if comparable GT-R's are indeed going for a price similar to the price of the parts you'd need for getting GT-R performance out of your M...
Buy now, run quick, hide deep.
Besides, you want a GT-R, right? What better justification for a sports/GT/performance car is there? It works for explaining my Layla. *pats his B GT on the hood*
