I'm kinda trying to figure out what exhaust i should put on it. I've narrowed it down to the HKS duel dragger, and the Fukui Departure II. What i want out of an exhaust is the max. hp and a nice deep sound. and that is also in dual form. Any reccomendations???

i've read that the departure II gives around 23rwhp on a stock mr2 turbo. but its really expensive, rare, and sorta heavy.

the best thing to do is to do what i did, STRAIGHT PIPE, loud, deep, cheap, and lots of power at the low end, the turbo sounds cooler too, u can see a pic of my mr2 at www.cardomain.com/id/mr2turbz

I don't think you could go wrong with either of the two. Both systems make similiar gains in hp, and both look good. Personally, I chose the HKS system. On top of this, I'd highly recommend buying a down pipe (KO, Aussie, Blitz, etc), as they help to free a fair amount of horsepower.

In regard to running a straight pipe from the turbo, it would most likely be illegal in your area, and way too loud for most peoples liking. Simply running a downpipe from the turbo would give you the highest hp gains, and give a fair increase in top end power.

I have a T3T4 turbo wit ha 3" Downpipe.
I have the Tanabe B-pipe which directly replaces the factroy B-pipe, but it is 3" mandrel bent (not cats)
Then I have a MR2 Performance Parts Tip.
That is 3" from the turbo to the bumper with ZERO restrictions. I do not find to loud ( but I do not drive it every day).
When my exhaust was finished I gained over 5mph at the end of the 1/4 mile and .2-.3 tenths.
