Hello everyone reading this,
Anyways, recently I was involved in a pretty bad car accident in my 99 Tegra LS. The whole front end went under the back of another car. So, I currently(or did) have an auto. tranny, but I really want an manual. So, over debate w/ my siblings, I am wondering if you change the tranny from auto. to manual, will you also have to change the engine as well? Any replies are helpfull, thanks.

yes you can change it to a manual. im my case, im doin exactly the same minus that my car is in perfect condition right now. install for my h22 and convert my tranny, as well as install my new clutch and lightwiehgt flywheel and new header is runnin me around 2k.
so keep in mind its not cheap at all. auto to manual is something i wouldnt recommend unless your really set on it and you figure your gonna keep the car long enough to enjoy having it converted.
good luck

Nope... motor is motor and tranny is tranny - you will NOT have to replace the motor. But converting the car to manual is very costly, you are better off selling your car and picking one up that is manual. Since if you do ever plan to sell it... there will be $1000 you spent that you WONT be able to get out of the car. Autos usually cost a little more, so you should be able to get a little more for it so when you pickup a manual you can either get a nicer one for the same amount or get the same condition and put a couple bills in your pocket for mods. Goodluck
