I'm going to replace my fuel filter, do I just take out the fuel pump fuse, crank the engine a few times to relief the pressure and dissconnect the lines out of the filter and do the reverse to put in the new filter ?

Also, has anybody used a different size (bigger) than the stock filter ? especifically a 300ZX...

There will be no pressure in the system.
There may be a same amount of fuel when you undo it, but not a huge amount.

First make sure you have a LOT of rags. Start the car, then remove the fuel pump fuse. Once the car dies, try starting it again a few times, till it won't catch anymore. Disconnect the battery. Slowly remove the fuel line from the bottom of the filter, you will get a LOT of fuel coming out still, and the filter also hold an ungodly amount. Then remove the top line and pull the filter out, again, remember there will be a lot of fuel in the filter still. Reverse to install, put the fuse back in, connect the battery, and start er' up You can use the 300zx filter, but you have to bend the bracket bigger to hold it in, it doesn't really due much for ya though, except maybe extend the interval for the filter change... Good luck. :D
