custom????

i just got me a diecast( dub city avalanche) and i want to do some custom body work,now i want to do some shaving and molding but dont know what to do since its metal? can someone give me any help????

Do you have a dremel power tool? If not you need one to do body work on metal. I use a Dremel all the time to do custom Hot Wheels. I use several different types of bits, including sanding drums, cut off wheels, and drill bits. To add detail I use JB Weld. This can also be used to add parts to the metal body and as a filler.

get some jb weld or bondo glaze putty, they sell it at walmart where the automotive paint is.. its only about 1.50$ too

For removing metal you're gonna have to use sand paper or a dremel tool (prbly a grinder bit). If you try to shave the door handles you will be required to repaint the whole thing though since I don't think jada uses automotive paints or anything you can find a match to.

To add to a body I reccommend Epoxy Putty. Its fairly common and comes in stick form. Just mash the two parts together and you have a clay-like substance you can model into an epoxy hard piece. Essential for bodykits.

Obviously some people use bondo and even quick set epoxy can work but these substances may be a little more difficult to work with. Whatever is your preference.

I find epoxy putty hard to use. For die cast I prefer Bondo Body Filler found at walmart in the auto repair Aisle. Its some great stuff.
