My check engine light remains on with the ECU flashing a code 9, referring to the number one piston position. I checked the crank angle sensor with a voltmeter and it seems to be working.
What's my next step??
If it helps, the compression test results were a little high ( between 215-240). The timing appears to be on, but I'm not quite sure which mark on the timing belt cover to align with. There is a also a pinging in the engine which remains after using high octane fuel.
Any help is appreciated.
