run 12's

O.k now I have a del sol and in the process of putting a b16a in and want it to run 12's. Now I want a all motor car not turbo or nos. I also heard that if you put a b18LS head on you will get 210hp is that right and
the car has to be daily driven alot. So can someone tell me what to do and tell me any websites that sell parts for the b16asi2 engine because I
don't know what cars these engines come in stock????

I dont know what you need to run 12's, but i think you set your goal too high for not knowing even where your engine came from.

the B16A is in del sol VTEC's and new SI's and another car as well but i cant remember which one and that engine comes with a cable tranny which wont work in your car.

and the B18B came from the integra RS/LS/GS
the B18C1 is the 94+gsr B18C5 is ITR.

now putting the B18B head onto the B16A block shouldnt benefit you at all. you arew going from DOHC VTEC to plain DOHC.

putting on a B16B head would do a litte bit for you, and maybe a B18C5 head.


somewhere on this forum is a nice article about swaps I read just the other day, when i find it ill post it for you.

but for all motor 12's Id say put in a H22A or build a CRVTEC. I think it is going to cost way too much to get a B16 to 12's NA if even possible.

You got that backwards it is a B18b block with a B16 head. It would be dumb to put a B18b head on a B16 block first you wuld lose VTEC which would kind of suck unless you are going full race and you get Toda VTEC killer Cams. When you looks for parts just look for parts for a B16 any car with a B16 should fit just fine. For the most part all B series parts are swapple. I recommend if going all motor getting the CTR Cams those should help a lot.

b16 n/a 12 sec is possible for sure. there's this guy at JUN that has a delsol..........looks completely stock except some rims and the exhaust.....but he works at JUN and he claims 210whp n/a......and that's easily attainable looking at the company he works for. i'm not sure if it's the stock b16 in there, but i know he HAD one since he had the vtec cluster......i'm just telling you 12's all motor can be attained......but it's sorta expensive........i'd rather just go turbo......but i guess to everyone their own.........have fun modding and good luck w/ watever you do man......keep us informed..........
