Does shock affect the ride height?

I have a 5th gen civic sedan and i found out that the tokico blues i bought are for the 6th gen civic. After dropping the car with neuspeed sport, i noticed the rear is about 1 inch higher than the front. My question is, is the shock that's causing this? or is it normal?

hey i know its not help but, how's the ride with that combination of tokicos with neuspeeds? can you post some pics? I am looking at that setup as well.. thanks.

The ride is GREAT! It's even better and smoother and quieter than the old 7-year-old stock springs i had. It's a perfect ride.

The problem is the height though, the front is too low for me...i keep rubbing my tires...:(

it may be just the way your springs are. BTW, did you need a camber kit with your drop? how low of a drop did the neupseed's provide?

I have the neuspeed sport. so they should drop 1.8" front/1.6" rear

I never got an alignment, cause i don't have money now...so i don't know if i need one or not. but i might need one for the front.. as for the rear...it doesn't seem really low, so i probably don't need one for that.

After a month there is no sign of wear on the tires... so i guess i can get away with it for a while.

although i had no choice, i was stuck with the rusted bolt that so many have had to deal with. although ive seen some cars do it on purpose, some "drag" spring kits are made like that.

and about the alignment, get one as soon as you fix your prob. your tires can go quickly depending on how bad your toe is.

Some shocks you can adjust the height of your car ie: Koni Yellows. But did you make sure you didn't put the front springs on the rear and vice versa?

The shop told me that the rear coil is larger than the front...so he won't be able to put the front into the rear. He said that the reason that the rear is higher is because the shock i got is for 6th gen civic..... that's why i want to find out if it's true... i might want to get another set of shocks if it is true.

you can adjust height with those shocks? I thought it only adjusted dampness?

Koni Yellows have 3 levels in the front and I think 5 in the rear. You just move the clip up or down to adjust.
