Motor wont start

I put a new motor into my 97 Prelude a few weeks ago because I had hydrolock in my last motor, but anyways, my car will not start now. I put a new Key ignition switch in, but the only thing that happens now is that all the dummy lights come on, but the car doesn't start. It doesn't even turn over. If anyone knows what the problem is, can someone please tell me.
Thanks

First, did it work when you got the car back? If not, you should have left it right there and then. I'm guessing probably that the starter is either not connected or something to that effect. Check your fuses as well to see if any of them have been burned out.:)

I didn't take it anywhere to do the swap. Me and a friend of mine did the swap ourselves. He has a push start tool that will start your car up without a key, but whenever I try to start it with my key, it doesn't work. The starter is still good though. Some people are telling me that I have to reset the ECU somehow, but I don't know how its done.

To reset the ecu, disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 10 mins. Then reconnect it and try and start the car without pressing the gas. Leave it idling for about 5-10 mins so that it can now reprogram itself. If that ends up being the case.

I've tried that already, and it still doesn't start. I don't know what it can be. I'll just have to take it in and have someone fix it for me.
