I heard on the dpfi that thier is a restrictor plate and if i take it off i will have better throttle response how would i go about doin this and is it a bad thing if i do it

you take off the plate on the top of the throttle body (4 screws holding it in) then you will see a brass plate right after where the intake pipe connects, remove that plate (remove the 1 screw holding it in and pull it up) and wa la free horsepower.....you will feel a much better pedal response instantly...its kinda mind blowing

I never really noticed any major improvement when I took mine off. But might as well, you save like 1gram of weight!

dude.....you'll lose mad horsepower for real.......insted of the air being directed in there it just slams around or something.......I did it to mine when I still had the pathetic dpfi and it was a NOTICEABLE difference....pretty bad when you can notice it.......

yup.

took the one out of hoopty whoop. i didn't really notice a difference. made a ghetto intake and felt a little pulse. you'll need to do the MPFI conversion if you want to actually feel a heart beat.

hoopty and all it's ghetto fab-u-lous glory :jump:

sure is. another "old skool tick" is to use plumbing pieces. but that seems over the top ghetto.

considering you had never heard that before...thats pretty cool you did that without anyone suggesting it to you :D
