hey everyone...amazin forum you guys have here, i check it religously everyday. I am just very lazy to post my own cars on here, hehe :o
anyways, here are my latest creations in progress
both body kits are ordered from chris..amazing work once agian chris..
the first is the 350Z..lowered the front, added a little lip to the front spoiler, and theres also a GT spoiler on it, but i removed it for painting..
the rear bumper was a little high for my tastes, so i modfied it, and added a rear skirt to the bumper to make the rear lower...

So far! I've also ordered that 350 kit from Chris as well as the 180SX kit. I think yours will look great when finished! I would like to suggest a yellow for the 350 and a metallic beige for the S2K (to compliment the wheel color)

the creamy stuff is putty that i sanded out... used it to fill in lines or when my exacto skipped the panel line when i was cutting the bumpers out...(scary times) hehe :bloated:

I'm a newbie to this forum, and been checking out the cars you guys put together. They look amazing. How do u guys build the kit from scratch? Is it from bits and pieces from other models? The Z looks awesome. Can't wait to see the final product.

just a question, was the entire new part of the rear valence that you added made of putty? it almost looks like you reattached part of the original bumper onto the new one! it looks really good though, excellent work!

yup i made the rear valance...not from putty tho, its acutally the bottom part of the orignal Z bumper that i cut out, i jus modified it and cut it to make it look like that...i had to lower the exhuast system for it to go under the arches too took a while...:D

Hey Chris,
I have a question about the kits u sell for the models. Does the parts fit right onto the car or will I need to putty it up?

You won't need putty when fixing the the bodykits, its only really necessary when fixing any imperfections in the resin i.e pin holes, air bubbles etc. Your simply required to remove the existing bumpers and side skirts by cutting through the panel lines, then the replacements will fit in their place with the aid of 'tabs' (see pic below) that glue to the underside of the model. You may find it necessary to glue thin plastic sheet along the lines you cut in order to replace the plastic thats removed in the cutting process.

My opinion/advice....
Use putty and mould/blend in the side skirts on the 350Z. I'd also cut out and shave down the thing in the middle of the front grill. And put in a bit radiator with "NISMO" lettering stenciled on. (Think Fluididyne).
That's just my taste though...everything else looks good.
On the S2000, I really like the Mugen rims, but I think the ride height is too high. I'd cut it down about 2-3mms.
Too each his own, they're lookin good nonetheless.

My color suggestions.....
On the Z, a bright/cherry red, with a medium-tan interior with gloss-coat.
On the S2K, I dunno. Try something "different". Metallic Orange Mica, maybe. (not the Honda Imola Orange) But more of a lighter, brighter, more metalic color. Or, you could go with the "sleeper" look of Gunmetal, which would go well with those Mugen rims.
