Possible project car Question

I found a 91 CRX DX (I think) from a guy who "imported" it from Arizona to Ohio. It has no rust on it which is VERY rare in Ohio :rolleyes: Only 115k miles on it and a few nifty extras like Si steering wheel, integ shift knob, '14" Integra Wheels', and exhaust. He says it needs a front bumper, hood, and corner lights. I asked him if it was wrecked and he said it didn't appear to be. I'm thinking its an unfinished project :confused: I'm trying to get more info about that story. It has a clean title. Oh and its currently primered black so it def needs a paint job. I'm thinking its a good candidate for a project.

Question is, how much should I pay. I'm thinking most definatly under 1g since it needs all that shit and a paint job. What do you all think?

oh btw, check to see what state the car's title is in, if it is already registered in Ohio with a "clean title" then most definitely the signs point to a crash in its past

but def dont give him more then 750

find someone with carfax or go check out www.carfax.com and run a history check. i don't trust anyone who says it has a clean title. i once got a 4th gen from a car lot and they claimed it had a clean title. got the title in the mail and it had a total :(

i would say $500 since it needs hood & front bumper. if the corner(s) were busted then you might need headlight(s) too (check mounting brackets)

Lets recap:

$2500 :eek: I couldn't believe it. There is no way I would pay that much for a possible wrecked car that needs those parts.

just to help you judge I just bought a project car (90 CRX HF) that has Tokico shocks, Skunk2 coilovers, a Momo sterring wheel, clear corners and a Act Stage 1 clutch for $1000.. it's fairly rusty, has been wrecked (fixed now) and needs paint.. the interior is in decent shape and actually has Si seats in it. Hope I helped some. But I'd say that price is AT LEAST $800 too high.

I wouldnt have offered over $500 either.
