Flywheels, Clutches, etc etc.

I know this may sound pretty stupid, but recently my P10's been acting up in first gear. When i start off, it takes a while for the engine to match up to gear speed before i can totally let go of the clutch to stop the car from lunging forward.

For example.. say im at a light.
I start going, gas on with clutch comming off. If i let go of the clutch too early, the car lunges forward unntil the engine synchronoizes.... and my car almost stalls ... ALMOST. Another scenario, is when i hold the clutch down till i can "feel" my engine sync and i release the clutch. No problem. I'm thinking its something with a warped flywheel? Or a bad clutch. Thing is.... i got a new clutch not too long ago, say 6 months... and i don't drive manual that bad. Heck.... i KNOW i don't drive manual bad. Is it the flywheel?

What the hell IS a flywheel? Whats it there for? I know its something with rotational inertia something here....

And how exactly does a clutch work? I know it temporarily disconnects the transmission from the engine, allowing the gear change...

I'm not sure, but I have a feeling nothing is wrong. I'm trying to work out a date for a geekout, so if you come by I or someone else can test it to see if anything is wrong.

Just starting to drive really wierd lately...

Might be because the mornings (to school) i drive my car cold.
During the afternoons its warmer a bit.

My car does that lunge thing when the engine is cold to. (I have a 94 G20 with a manual)
